Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: June 29, 2026

Our Commitment

Professional Law Assist is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure our website is usable by all visitors, regardless of ability.

Conformance Status

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. We have completed a comprehensive accessibility audit and remediation effort to bring our website as close as possible to full WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance.

Measures Taken

We have implemented the following accessibility features:

  • Skip to Main Content link for keyboard navigation
  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy (one H1 per page)
  • Descriptive alternative text for all meaningful images
  • Decorative images marked with empty alt attributes
  • Full keyboard navigability — all menus, dropdowns, forms, and interactive elements work without a mouse
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Sufficient color contrast meeting WCAG 2.2 AA minimum ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Accessible form labels with proper associations, validation error messages linked to their inputs, and aria-invalid states
  • ARIA landmarks and roles on all major page regions (header, nav, main, footer)
  • aria-current indicators on active navigation links
  • aria-expanded states on collapsible and dropdown elements
  • Screen-reader-accessible form status updates via aria-live regions
  • Responsive design that supports zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Touch targets of at least 44×44 pixels on mobile devices
  • Reduced-motion support for users who prefer reduced motion
  • Descriptive link text throughout — no vague "Click Here" or "Read More" links

Compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with commonly used assistive technologies and browsers, including:

  • Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver
  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest versions)
  • Operating systems: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android

Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing journey. We regularly review our website for accessibility issues, test with assistive technologies, and train our team on accessible design and development practices. We view accessibility as a continuous improvement process, not a one-time project.
